As a Direct Sales Consultant, it’s important to remember that sharing the business opportunity is PART OF OUR JOB. It’s just as important as booking and selling, and really, you never know whose LIFE YOU MAY CHANGE just by introducing your business to them. So, start GATHERING LEADS at a party every time.
These can ALL be applied to our online vendor events as well !
Here’s a quick tip to help you find recruit leads!At the end of your party presentation, tell the guests you need them to answer 3 quick questions. Ask them to put the #’s 1, 2, & 3 somewhere on the front of their order forms. Then ask them:
#1, “What was your favorite part of my job?” or “If you were doing this job, what would you like best? Would it be the discount, travel, meeting new people, etc?” #2, “What would you do with an extra $500/month? Would you pay bills, save it, shop for shoes, etc?”
#3, “At checkout is it ok for me to give the this flier (hold up your sponsoring flier) that tells you a little more about the business?”
By doing this at your party, you will easily identify those who want more info about joining your business. Then, at checkout when you hand them the flier ask if it’s ok to follow up in a day or 2 with a 15 minute phone call. Write that “appointment” in your date book immediately. Make sure you follow up…THE MAGIC IS IN THE FOLLOW UP!
By asking questions #1 and #2 you have some idea on what interests them about the business, and you can use these as talking points when following up.
One thing to remember when you’re gathering LEADS is that they are not yet a definite RECRUIT. It’s hard in the beginning, because I know I always used to get my hopes up thinking the person was definitely signing on, when really they’re just gathering information. Now I know that the leads are a great thing…I have a huge list of names that I keep adding to, and I keep going back to every time we have something exciting going on.
Slowly but surely the seeds you plant will grow into actual Team Members!
